F. Stephen Millier Angels Reserve Lodi Pinot Noir 2021
About the wine
Stephen's juicy Pinot Noir walks the line between elegant French and bold American in style
-
Made using top-notch fruit from sustainably-grown vineyards in the Jahant and Mokelumne River sub-regions of Lodi, this juicy new Pinot Noir from US legend Stephen Millier is our new fave ‘any-day-of-the-week’ red.
-
It walks the line between elegant French and bold American in style. A hint of smokiness on the nose gives way to ripe red berry aromas and a supple, rounded palate loaded with oodles of ripe raspberries, freshly-picked cherries and mouth-watering plums.
-
This wine debuted to historic fanfare across the pond, as US Angels almost cleared Stephen out in just 48 hours. It’s gone on to become an instant classic, with a 90% buy-it-again rating across the first two vintages and loads of Angels calling shotgun on the next lot… but not before we bagsied a share for UK Angels like you.

Food match
Liz's sister is a commercial fisherwoman out of Sitka, Alaska so our freezer is well stocked with goodies to pair with Pinot. Our current fav is to enjoy grill salmon on our Weber weekly. We set it up by using a rosemary brush with organic olive oil on our salmon filet that we then drizzle with fresh squeezed lemon juice. Oh and in the interest of living a balanced life we place 1 small pat of unsalted Irish butter on top. My Angels Reserve Pinot is always a willing companion.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Stephen Millier
- Stephen is no stranger to a gold medal or two... but usually his prestigious employers are the only ones in the limelight.
- When Stephen offered to set aside some of his favourite wines and vineyards to make a special range with his name on the label just for Angels, we jumped at the opportunity.
- If you like underdogs, Stephen's your man. He will find the overlooked and under-appreciated and he will take precious care to make sure they grow into big, beautiful wines that deserve more attention.
