About the wine
Jean-Marie has one simple rule when winemaking: less is more...
- Jean-Marie has one simple rule when winemaking: less is more. He has kept his vines low in number but been sure to grow them organically and on the best stony soil in the region. Needless to say, the guy knows exactly what he's doing.
- Mâcon-Pierreclos, has an uplifting freshness and elegance characterized by sumptuously ripe and fruity flavours. So uplifting in fact that there's no need to cook up a storm to make this Chardonnay sing, just pop the cork and enjoy as is.
- A spun gold colour on the eye, with an equally golden roundness on the mouth - this is a definite show stopper not to be missed.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Jean-Marie Pidault
The Pidault family have been making wine for many years but 2008 marked the start of a great adventure for them when they bought Chateau de Pierreclos. Things may have got off to a rocky start when a hail storm destroyed most of their first years harvest but the family bounced back and have been going strong ever since!
You can expect some stunning Burgundies from this Chard and Pinot-Noir loving family (we wouldn’t expect their fave varieties to be anything else!)
Jean Marie is so excited to join the Naked family and share the familys’ adventures with Angels. Just don’t ask him about the time he got stuck in a wine tank...upside down…!
