Cordero Roero Arneis DOCG 2015
About the wine
Gianfranco & Serena are excited to share with you a gem from Roero
- On the left side of the Tanoro river, in the area of Roero, grows a white grape called Arneis that is one of the best examples of grapes from our region.
- Arneis the baby of all the Roero's people, and we're all crazy for it, so we told Naked Wines and they were excited to find out why and join us in our adventure.
- Millions of years ago Roero was once in the sea, so our soil is rich in fossils, which along with clay soil helps to give our wine minerality and structure, while the peach flavours make it perfect to drink in the summer months.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Serena Cordero
-
Serena’s been delighting Angels for years with the top-shelf Italian wines she makes alongside her dad in Piedmont, like Barolo and Gavi di Gavi. Now, she’s also blazing new trails with a set of stunning Moldovan whites that’ve gone gangbusters. We can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve next.
-
Serena knew from an early age she wanted to follow in the family footsteps… ‘I was 7 years old. Probably as a daughter in love with her dad, it was inevitable :-)’. She’s blossomed into a super-talented winemaker and is making her father proud with every bottle she makes.
-
Angel support helps Serena continue her family legacy, creating wines from the very same patch her grandad farmed years ago - and it’s also giving her the opportunity to discover new, off-the-beaten-track wines like her Moldovan gems. That’s why she’s so grateful and proud to share her kit with UK wine-lovers like you.
