To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Delectable aged red made using premium grapes from Provence's golden triangle
-
After Angels lapped up his first two rosé wines, Benjamin decided to go a little left-field with his latest creation. While Provence is best known for its rosé, he’s selected special grapes from the ‘Triangle d’or’ (that’s ‘golden triangle’ to us anglophones) of the region to create a classy red blend he hopes you’ll love just as much as his pink kit.
-
On first taste, you can tell this is a wine that’s been ageing beautifully since 2016, it’s harmonious on the palate with nice round tannins and a great maturity, like good Bordeaux. You get delectable notes of red cherries and coffee, and a hint of vanilla from 12 months maturing in French and American oak barrels.
-
Down Benjamin’s neck of the woods, they’d guzzle this wine down with grilled spare ribs and stuffed med veg in the sunshine. So why not treat yourself to a taste of that southern French lifestyle at home? Get the charcoals firing, pour yourself a big glug of Rouge, then lay back on the sun lounger with your eyes closed… you’ll be dreaming you’re on the Cotes de Provence.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Benjamin Meï
- Benjamin's been making wine for 20 years, and he's seen it all. It seems that wherever he lays his hat, whether that be in the wineries of the old world or new world, exceptionally high quality wines are guaranteed to follow. In other words, he's the kind of friend you want to have around...
- Despite achieving great success across the globe, Benjamin decided to take the ultimate risk in 2015, choosing to leave it all behind and return to his roots in France.
- Back in his natural habitat, Benjamin has continued to produce truly stellar wines. Despite working with a huge variety of different grapes across many different regions, you can spot his wines a mile off for their next level freshness and minerality.
