Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Olivier's boutique Bordeaux is one deep, dark, luxurious sip
- From the teeniest of estates with just 3 hectares to its name in one of the most distinguished appellations in Bordeaux, Olivier has played yet another blinder with this outstanding blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot
- Although he makes wine in one of France's most notoriously traditional regions, Olivier makes lively and exciting wines in a style that is truly his own. These vineyards are farmed organically and every last grape is picked ever so gently by hand.
- This style of wine from Bordeaux's Right Bank is quite the opposite of what you would traditionally expect... The Cab Franc brings a raspy freshness to the wine rather than depth or body. It opens slowly in the glass but your patience is rewarded with bright red fruits.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Olivier Cazenave
- Olivier Cazenave is a rare breed... the most radical wine grower you'll find in the historically posh and stuffy Bordeaux region.
- He developed a taste for wine aged 17, but Olivier didn’t realise he could turn his passion into a career until he was 40. He started making wine in 2003, in the middle of a downturn in the region “you would have to be crazy to buy a property in Bordeaux in 2003”.
- Olivier may hail from an ultra-famous wine region, but you probably haven’t heard of him... and that’s a good thing. He’s one of the region’s best kept secrets and he wants to prove that you can find outstanding value in Bordeaux.
