"Dear Angels,
I first became a winemaker when I had a mid-life crisis in my middle 30s where I ended up working for free for just over a year for a winemaker in Cahors! Then I turned my attention to making wine in Saint Emilion, since 1994. Originally at the vanguard of the 'garagiste' movement during the 1990s, I made wine additionally in the Barossa Valley and, since 2008 in Napa.
Our wines are regularly awarded 5 Stars by Decanter and high 90s from Robert Parker, culminating in 100 Points in 2013 - one of my proudest moments!
I love the variety in my job because you get to produce something that is essentially agricultural and turn it into something that provides enjoyment.
I like to think the things that make my wines special are concentration, modernity and elegance. My favourite varietal to work with is Cabernet Franc. (We make the world's most expensive version of it, allegedly!)
I am very proud to be able to present my range of Bordeaux wines to all of you, thanks to the support of the Angels and the Naked Wines Bondholders.
