- Jean-Claude is totally in tune with his vineyards. He believes the unique combination of the soil, the air, the sun and the wind on his land all contribute to the flavours in his wines.
- The Riefle family are passionate about keeping every part of their production close to home, to create jobs in their local community.

Jean-Claude and famille Rieflé's Story
Jean-Claude's Story
I was born in a winegrowing family whose roots are tracking back to the end of the 17th century.
As a child I used to play with my friends in the vineyards surrounding our little town, Pfaffenheim, and among the vats and the piles of bottles in the facilities. So I almost felt in the pot and taking the decision to join the wonderfull wine world already as a teenager was obvious. So my Dad sent me for five years to the wineschool in Beaune-Burgundy at the end of the 70s and I’ve joined the business in 1984.
Beside the job that feeds me, I offered a large part of my time to professional organizations and boards, regional and national. Nowadays I’m advisor to the French Government for Foreign Trade, with the position of chairman of the national wine & spirits section.
