Cristian fell in love with the Cachapoal Valley a while back: ‘What amazes me is the great diversity of terroir you can find along the valley. This has given me the opportunity to learn from each terroir and microclimate, making the experience winemaking very rich, challenging, and fun!’

Cristian's Story
Oenologist and viticulturalist from Universidad Católica de Chile, has had more than 20 years of experience in the wine industry, linked to projects such as Calyptra and Valle Secreto.
He was attracted to wine since his student years, and loves to see the whole process of winemaking, from the grape in the vineyards to blending in the winery, to then seeing the joy and pleasure that his wines bring to its drinkers.
Cristian loves the familial atmosphere of the Serendipia’s team, the wines that they have done so far and the fact that this project keeps his connection to this terroir, to which he has been linked for all of his winemaking career. An expert in the Cachapoal Valley, now adds his knowledge in Las Quiscas to his vast understanding of the Andean zone of the valley.
When asked what makes his wines special, this is what he said:
'What amazes me about Cachapoal is the great diversity of terroir you can find along the valley, with so many different soils- from alluvial, to colluvial, to slate- as well as very diverse weathers, which result in a great variety of aromatic profiles and very different tipicities for each variety. This has given me the opportunity to learn from each terroir and microclimate, making the experience winemaking very rich, diverse, challenging, and fun! Specifically, in Las Quiscas, in the Peumo appellation, I am dazzled by the unique personality of the wines given its granitic soil and special terroir conditions'
