Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Oscar's top-shelf Ribera del Duero scored a whopping 91 points in Wine Advocate
- Sitting at a towering 1,000 meter altitude with rare old vines ranging from 50 to 100 years old, it's little wonder that Cillar de Silos was voted the Best Winery in Ribera del Duero. As an area with famously harsh conditions this was by no means an easy task, but Oscar only went and made it look like a walk in the park.
- The Cillar de Silos Crianza is a perfect example of Riberan elegance and complexity. The high altitude of the vineyard paired with the age of its vines is a dream combo, providing the kind of minerality and freshness you're likely to see once in a blue moon. The delicate fruit flavours of blackberries and ripe plums chime perfectly with smokiness from the French oak barrels.
- This is Fine Wine taken to the max and it’s got the Parker Points to prove it. The 2019 vintage scored a whopping 92 points in Wine Advocate dubbing it a "very fine Crianza".

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Oscar Aragon
- In Northern Spain, just a few kilometres South West of Rioja, lies Ribera del Duero - a beautiful valley with a famously harsh climate that is known for its knockout reds and classy whites. It’s here where Oscar and his family call home.
- The area saw a boom in popularity in the 90’s which is precisely when the Aragon family opened the doors of ‘Cillar de Silos’ and they have been producing some lip-smackingly good tipples ever since. It’s a true family affair there with their father, Amalio (alongside a group of pickers with an average age of 75!), carefully hand harvesting the grapes each year.
- Oscar’s deep love of the land and passion for wine led him away from farming cereals and straight into the vineyards. You can look forward to some seriously elegant little drops from this winery... they've already picked up a number of impressive awards - including one for best winery in the region!
