Villion Henning Chenin Blanc 2017
About the wine
Old vines have worked their magic on this stunning South African Chenin
-
Bot River is enjoying the status of being a top area for producing Chenin Blanc in South Africa. This specific wine is sourced from 35 year old vineyards, with the age giving amazing concentration, depth and texture.
- There’s a hint of oak from 8 months in French barrels and captivating aromas of freshly cut ripe yellow Kakamas peach and vanilla pods, with a delightful, lively minerality. So if you are little bit tired of the same-old-same-old, and want to have a glass of wine which captivates your senses and let’s you break away from day-to-day responsibilities then look no further.
- This wine can be drunk now, but if you can master some patience, you will be rewarded with more subtleness and richness as it ages, with the peach and apricot flavours slowly becoming more dominant.

Meet the winemaker - Naked Marketplace
Every week, on our travels or back at HQ, we come across wines that taste amazing but weren’t made for us by Naked winemakers
At the price and quality, we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t make them available to you. So we list them without a winemaker or a story under Naked Marketplace
They’re generally parcels and one-offs, so once they’re gone, they’re gone!
