Karen Birmingham Reserve Lodi Zinfandel 2022
About the wine
This Reserve Zin will satisfy your cravings for a rich, full-bodied red
-
This 'wild berry mashup' from your Lodi expert comes from the cream of the crop among Karen’s favourite vineyards. This is fruit she’s been working with for over 20 years, so she knows how to coax the best out of it.
-
She lets the naturally rich and concentrated juice from these premium grapes take a long nap in French and American oak barrels – almost 2 years – to create the perfect balance of fruity and oaky flavours.
-
It comes in with lots of brambly, blackberry and ripe blueberry flavours, with a hint of chocolate and mocha. Give it time to breathe to unleash all its flavours, then enjoy over a bonfire (or by the fireplace) with Karen’s top food tip – Zinfandel-braised short ribs.
